A Decision on Commissions:This may be temporary or may be permanent. I haven't decided yet as I don't know my situation with this new job:
Commissions are closed. I'm only doing adoptions now.
Basically, I'm falling behind on commissions and this list is stacking up (don't worry; if you're on there or I still owe you something, it will happen). Since I have at least 4 commissions for Patreon each month and there are generally 4 weekends available every month (and I occasionally use one of those weekends to do other things... like socialize! :0 ) it's not feasible. There are a couple other reasons why it's not working too:
Most commissions defer to what I want to do with people's characters. They end up being my own scene, story, sometimes even my own OC. It's fun, but if it's going to be my scene anyways, why not do a scene that I wanted to do from the start? It may not feature your character (usually will feature characters

Effective 2017 ~

New Policy Regarding Commissions
Commissions are intended for personal use only. Any re-marketing of the final product must be run by me first. I do not include royalties in my normal price. (Re-printing or sharing of the digital copy for self-use is fine. This applies strictly to those that wish to use my works to sell, themselves.)
[Also worth noting: though I give out the "linked" and "unlinked" version for each commission, please only share the linked version on medias and messengers. The purpose of the link is to allow anyone that views the picture down the line to be able to find me. It helps me and that potential fan to have a link if they like the picture and don't know the artist. The unlinked version is just a treat for you.~]

Private or Public:
When you commission me, unless you state right off the bat that this is a private commission (no sharing with any outside sources or public forums) then I will be sharing it among friends for feedback as I'm working on it. Generally, I still ask if it's okay to post to DA after it's finished, but if you haven't mentioned anything about it being private to me by the time it's done, I consider it safe to assume that it's fine to put in my gallery to show others what I've been working on.

Patreon Raffle:
As an option for those that may be concerned with the rise in price, I will be starting a raffle on Patreon for one full-atmospheric commission a month. Anyone pledging $5-$10-$25 will have different chances at receiving the prize each month along with the regular benefits of that pledge (viewing projects I've worked on, getting early access to any storybooks I come up with, etc.) Visit my Patreon for more details: www.patreon.com/Blackroseseduc…

New-commission-prices by Rosie-BRS

These are my commission prices boiled down to the generalized time spent on past commissions.
As you see, I charge $15 an hour and I've broken my prices down to the stages I feel are aesthetically nice commissions!
These are generic prices, and the case may change depending what you want. I'll do my best to explain each stage and what makes the price what it is:

  • Rough Sketch: In this stage, the composition, perspective, proportion, all of the skeletal structures that make a commission pleasing will be explored and perfected. (note, if you commission me for just a rough sketch, I will only be dedicating 1 hour to it, imperfections included). Recommended: Idea sketch, quick pose, example work, etc.
  • Lineart: At this stage, all rough lines are replaced by a smooth, even-flowing composition. This process takes a lot of time since perfection is key and detail is often strenuous. This is also a good time for last minute troubleshooting, so this accounts for any changes or last minute alterations to the commission. Recommended: Simple reference sheet, logo work, comic, etc.
  • Flat Color: At this point, all sections of the commission are given color. This generally doesn't take long unless there's a discovered issue with the pallet chosen. (note: if it's a Black and White commission, this step will be excluded from the total price). Recommended: Cartoony pieces, logo work, Moe/Chibi, etc.
  • Cel Shaded: Depth is added to the commission by manipulating light and dark values very narrowly. This is akin to most anime still shots and has a simplistic aesthetic that some love. Depending on detail and angle of the perspective, this could take several hours to chisel out and define. 2 hours is a good general range for this process. (Will also add highlights when necessary for very shiny textures like latex, etc.) Recommended: Anime styles, simple scenes, blank background, nice commission on a budget, etc.
  • Full Atmosphere: At this point, everything has been defined in the picture, so it's time to perfect it! Added patterns, textures, shading, lighting, extra highlighting, reflections in mirrors, animations, etc. This is where I generally have fun polishing a scene until you can really feel like you're there. Yes, this can take more than 2 hours, but it rarely does for commissions (on my adoption pieces, it's a different story!) Just ask and I should be able to give you an estimate. I'll likely discount it since this is generally where I have the most fun with commissions. Recommended: Posters, intense scenes, latex/material-based fetishes, atmospheric/moody scenes, etc.

  • Adopt An Idea!:

Adopt an idea! [Update 12-19]Hey everyone!
Rules and explanation: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Pp84-lHGX0n_-LMlQuzW5W8M9zsPYjTpvpVGf7W5NeM/edit?usp=sharing
Note that #5 is $20 off!
I would also really love to work on #7 since it's the sequel to a previous work. More on that below for those of you that like Sissification!

1. Annabelle Bed: Previous Sketch Stream Highlight. Features AnnabelleDL's OC (and they have first dibs on adopting it)
2. Annabelle Peek-a-boo:  Previous Sketch Stream Highlight. Features AnnabelleDL's OC (and they have first dibs on adopting it)
3. Bathroom Sierra: Previous Sketch Stream Highlight. Features Sierra locked in a bathroom with no way to use it. This is also part of a story on Sierra's D

Adoption prices will vary on different principles. You may compensate me the full amount if you wish, though I will generally ask for less for my own ideas simply because I want to see them live, and I want them to be affordable to anyone that wishes to support them.~

  • Blank Background/Pinup:

Mature Content

Helping Hands:: by Rosie-BRS

Blank background means less planning, less linework, less everything! This is a good way to discount your commission by at least $15 (time taken off for each stage since it's less work, less hours spent).

  • Comic Commission:

<da:thumb id="629123347"/>
Comics are complicated case-by-case commissions. I have a lot of options available for those that have a story in mind, but have a strict budget. I'll also help you work through your story to lessen the price and number of pages.

  • Chibi or Very Simplistic Commissions:

Disney Princess Fairy by Rosie-BRS

If your commission takes about an hour to make, I'm obviously not going to charge full price for that. Just do the math.~ It's cheap.

------------------------------~Other Commissions!~---------------------------------------

  • Plush Commissions:

Let me first start off by saying the price that you see for factory-made stuffies is NOT what you should expect.
1. A human is making the plush, meaning someone (me in this case) has to go out and buy fabric, draft the custom pattern, sew it all together just right, package it, and ship it off to the person that commissioned it.
2. It costs to buy fabric. It costs to keep up with a sewing machine. It costs time that could be spent on other commissions. It costs money to ship (especially outside of the US).
With that in mind, I'll give you my estimate for how much these two plushies cost based on their materials/accessories, time spent, and shipping:
Jammy Doll Plush: $180
Jammy Plush by Rosie-BRS
(Cost was heavily influenced by the various accessories, buttons, and removability of her clothing)

LDM Bear Plush: $200
LDM Plush for Ani:: by Rosie-BRS
(This would be about average for this type of plush)

I won't reference other DA plush artists, but this is fairly modest pricing, and only because I don't consider myself a professional seamstress. I know enough to construct these plushies, but there's probably a lot I still need to learn in terms of fabric, yadda yadda.

So to commission a plush from me, I'll need:
1. Subject: The person/thing the plush is based off of from as many angles as possible.
2. Size: Doll? Bear? Pillow? Just give me as good of a description as you can. Ani told me she wanted LDM to be "huggable" which is what influenced his size. ^^
3. Type: More like a detailed, printed plush? Or more traditional with button eyes and such? Send pictures of plushes that you like the style of, and I can likely work from there.

I also can't work on 10 of these at once, so if you want one, you may have to wait in line. Just fair warning.~

-----------------------~Commission Process!~----------------------------------

If you would like to commission me, send me a note on Deviantart with a title that
easily references your commission (example: Padded Princess Commission, etc.).

I will need to know the following before I can properly give you an estimate:

1. A reference for the characters/things you would like for me to draw (pictures are
better. Detailed visual description and slight visual references work too.)

2.What is the pose/scene you would like for me to portray? What is important visually?
What is important emotionally? What do you want to get from this commission?

Examples:
  • A detailed Reference Sheet, Character Focus, Scene, Comic Panels (examples below).
  • A focus on a particular piece of clothing/item.
  • A feeling of fetishism for a particular character/thing.
  • A feeling of fear or a rush of emotion.
  • Color, Black and White, or Linear.
  • etc.
This will help me choose the angle and the amount of detail applied to specific areas.
Especially in fetishist commissions (ex: latex shines exaggerated, diaper bulge, etc.)
You may also opt to give me creative control over an area you're unsure about.
Generally, I've been decent at guessing what a person wants from talking to them, but
understand that if you're paying for something, you should definitely voice any
preferences you know you want so that you're properly compensated.

3.Do you want a background? If so, how much detail? A reference would be wonderful, but
I'll settle for necessary details or an overall feeling. Anything with large amounts of detail (a cathedral)
may add to the price.

4. When do you need this by? Minimum is three days, though I tend to be quick even when
I'm stressed.

-------------------------~Payment!~--------------------------------

1. Payment is due after the rough sketch has been approved. Past experiences spoiled any later payment options (unless we've done business before).

2. Payment is sent through Paypal (ask for address).

3. Please leave a reference to what the payment is for. Thank you.~
